Gunners win Ramsey race, All time eleven's, more departures and other shenanigans

Well far be it for me to tell you this 'exclusive' as you've read it in the 'morning editions' of the other Arsenal web sites out there but The Arsenal are going to sign someone - hoorah! Young Welshman Aaron Ramsey the most wanted 17 year old this side of town has picked The Arsenal ahead of the likes of Manchester USA, Liverpool and Everton, which is nice. The Arsenal met Cardiff City's £5m valuation, flew the youngster by private jet no less to Switzerland, building up that carbon footprint, where he had face-to-face talks with Arsene Wenger who said something along the lines of 'I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse'. I must admit I'm surprised we landed the youngster as I thought he had 'Manu' tattooed across his head. Question is, when Wenger said he was going to make two or three signings was Ramsey on that list? Any road up, looks likes we've signed someone, but as the player is still in his teens it's not as if that comes as a big surprise to us Gooners, The Arsenal signing another youngster for the future. If anything knowing Alex 'Old 65% Proof Nose' Ferguson is going to be pissed off that we landed 'The next Steven Gerrard' is enough to be smug about.

Speaking of Manchester USA, I have to big them up for reporting Real Madrid to FIFA for chasing Cristiano 'River Dance' Ronaldo. It's about time someone put them fooks to the sword. As we all know Real Madrid (amongst others) use the media to conduct their transfers by unsettling players and pissing off teams and their fans. It's not as if it's a new thing, it's been going on for years. FIFA know it's going on, teams know it's going on, chairmen know it's going on, fans know it's going on but yet FIFA have done sod all about it all this time. It's as if they've been turning a blind eye to these shenanigans. But it will be interesting to see just what Septic Blatter decides to do with Real (other than take backhander's). What punishment will be metted out on Real Madrid - if any. This going to be a bit of a test case. Anyone fancy having a bet that sod all punishment will be dished out, only a slap on the wrist and don't do that again (please) being the token gesture?

Looks like The Arsenal exodus continues as the revolving door sees yet more action, no Hleb hasn't gone (yet), The Arsenal physio and ex youth keeper Gary Lewin has called time on his Arsenal career. Lewin has decided to take up the England football team's physio's job on a full time basis, so big up Gary, good luck to you. Hopefully the new physio at The Arsenal will be some sort of Sadomasochist who Robin van Persie and Tomas Sicky don't like the look of and spend more time on pitch than on their collective arse's.

Allgoonerdup: Arsenal fans website - picture of Alex Song / Animal from the muppet showOh by the way that revolving door, it did swing the other way. As well as Lewin going out, we do have someone coming in, well of sorts. Alex Song the new and improved version that is (hopefully) has signed a new long term contract. Beginning of the season that news would of bought a huge sigh, whereas now I think most Gooners actually are taking a shine to the Cameroon player. So one thing is obvious, Wenger definitely sees Song as a player who will be with us for some time. Well done Alex, I hope you build on this season and turn out to be the lick.

All time eleven

I had a wicked and unusual email from a certain Iain Rose who did an alternative All Time Eleven last week. Iain came up with a Best Ginger Eleven, see it below. So what I shall be asking you Gooners to come up with your own alternative All Time Elevens before I reveal who your 'proper' All Time Elevens are, so get involved - you too can play this at home! Send your emails to alltimeeleven[@]allgoonerdup.com (remove the things around the 'at' sign) and mark them either 'alternative' or 'proper' although I'm sure it should be blatantly obvious which pile they should be in. Your alternatives could include, all time crims (David Hillier, Tony Adams anyone?), worst signings, one season wonders - you name it or shame it and send them in.

Anyway to get the ball rolling here's the All Time Ginger Eleven, you might have to use your imagination on a couple of them, anyhoo off we go:

Jens Lehman

Ray Parlour (playing out of position at right back)
Igor Stepanovs
Willie Young
Sammy Nelson

Alexander Hleb
Vladomir Petrovic
Alan Ball
Perry Groves (Captain)

John Hartson
Tony Woodcock

If anyone can replace the nearly Gingers with the real McCoy then be my guest. So a big up and thank you to Iain for that - Good work Gooner!

And lastly
